My Story



I started my career as an Energy Engineer, working in nuclear and renewable projects with a focus on O&M.

While the work was highly technical, I became increasingly drawn to the broader context around it, how energy projects are developed, financed, and brought to life. Over time, I realised I wanted to be closer to that interface between technology, people, and decision-making, where ideas turn into execution.

That shift in perspective led me into sales, where I could combine my technical background with a more human and commercial dimension of work.

Over the past 10+ years, I have worked with startups and scale-ups across SaaS, Fintech, and Cleantech, helping them grow, build teams, and deliver results. Along the way, I developed a deep understanding of how leadership, influence, and human connection drive performance.

Life has also taken me through significant transitions, relocating from France to Greece and continuously learning from new environments and people around me, including my two children, whose curiosity shapes how I see the world every day.

A Journey at a Glance



2012

Nuclear and the Energy Calling

Worked in nuclear O&M, maintaining steam turbines across French power plants. My long-term goal was to participate in the development of wind power projects and contribute to a more sustainable energy future. Studied Industrial Performance & Innovation at INSA Rouen to build the foundation for this ambition.

2017

Greece and Renewables

Relocated to Greece to work on wind turbines and PV projects. Completed European MSc in Renewable Energy (Mines ParisTech and NTUA). Discovered my passion for the people side of business, including communication, strategy, and growth, which led me to startups.

2019

Start-Up World

Joined Dialectica, a 50-person expert network connecting professionals with top consulting firms such as BCG. Today, Dialectica is a 2,000+ global company recognised among Europe’s fastest-growing firms. Helped IN-VR pivot and transform energy events at the onset of COVID-19, managing global partnerships and multiple roles while supporting the VP Sales and collaborating with CEOs.

2021

Tech Sales and Scale-Ups

Built the Sales Development function from scratch at Pexapark, designing processes, leading the SDR team, and driving lead generation. Progressed from SDR, to SDR Leader, SDR Manager, Account Executive, and Account Manager. Achieved top-performer status and led teams through Series A to C growth.

2024

Discovering Coaching

Worked with my first professional coach, Dorothee Oung, who became my mentor. Began coaching sales and energy leaders on the side, combining real-world business experience with coaching principles.

2025

Launching Tom Salley Coaching

Turned coaching into a professional practice and joined Positivity Global Coaching ICF Level 2 program as a trainee. Focused on helping individuals and organisations navigate change, strengthen leadership, and unlock potential.
